Performance
The 2019 Ford Escape offers three different engines, each tied to a specific trim. All three utilize a four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The S trims use a 2.5-liter with a front-wheel drivetrain only and produces 168-horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. The SE and SEL models include a 1.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost® engine and can be connected to either a front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain to generate 179-horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. The Titanium trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter twin-scroll EcoBoost® engine with the option of front- or all-wheel drive and pumps out 245-horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. The EcoBoost® engines feature Auto Start-Stop technology that shuts off when you come to a stop and then restarts once you step on the accelerator to help lower fuel consumption and vehicle emissions.

Technology
The Escape is a smart SUV with its multitude of standard and available features. The standard 4.2-inch display screen, or optional 8-inch touch screen, incorporate a voice-activated infotainment system and include compatibility with the available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You can listen to the more than 150 channels available on SiriusXM satellite radio through the ten-speaker Sony premium audio system. FordPass™ Connect is a one-stop app that allows you to remotely lock and unlock your car, start your car, and check your fuel level. The Ford+Alexa app gives you access to voice navigation, traffic information, Amazon shopping, and can even control your Smart Home devices.
