Review: 2018 Ford Raptor

There are not many vehicles on the road quite like the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor. This high-powered truck is the superhero of pickup trucks. With its high-powered engine, specially designed shocks, and crazy styling this truck is as built for off-roading as it is for providing a comfortable ride on the road.

Performance

 

The Ford F-150 Raptor is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that makes 375 hp and 470 lb-ft in most models. The 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 will blow away most of the competition that boasts a V8. The Ford 3.5-liter turbo-6 has the highest tow rating, which can tow up to 12,000 pounds. The 2018 Ford Raptor is truly a sports car with a truck bed.

 

Technology

 

The inside of the 2018 Ford Raptor is just as sportscar like as the outside. The driver will be comfortable driving this monster of a truck with 8-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support. Extra comfort is optional with 10-way power driver and front passenger seats as well as memory and heated front seats. All Raptor models come standard with SiriusXM Satellite Radio capabilities, as well as SYNC with AppLink. A B&O PLAY premium audio system with HD Radio and voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link is available as well. Base Raptor models come with 4.2” touchscreen, MyKey, auto-dimming rearview mirror, reverse sensing system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Optional features include an 8” touchscreen, 360-degree camera with a split-view display, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, auto high beams, push-button ignition, lane keeping system, and pro trailer backup assist.

 

Safety

 

All 2018 Ford Raptor models come loaded with standard safety features. These features include rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, curve control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, and tire pressure monitoring system.
